Suspects Sharged After Five Shot Near Charlotte Cookout Restaurant on March 30, 2014

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police have made multiple arrests after five people were shot near a Cookout restaurant.

Officers responded to the scene in the 4300 block of Sunset Road on March 30 around 1:20 a.m. Police say the incident started as a fight in the Cookout parking lot.

Police found five people suffering from gunshot wounds when they arrived. Paramedics took all of them to local hospitals for treatment.

Detectives identified three suspects based on evidence found at the scene. The Violent Criminal Apprehension Team located them Friday morning.

Following interviews with police, 18-year-old Michael Moore, 18-year-old Demontravis Reid and 19-year-old Rodney Reid are charged with attempted murder. They also face charges of assault with a deadly weapon and shooting into an occupied vehicle.
