The Browns said they last saw their son just a few hours before the shooting.

They said he left their home around midnight and went to visit a friend.

His parents said their son was on the phone with that friend right before he was shot.

“All of a sudden she said the phone went dead and she heard them say, ‘Chill, chill out, man,'” said Dennis Brown, the victim’s father.

An hour later, CMPD detectives were called to the 2900 block of Milton Road. They found Brown sitting in his father’s SUV, clinging to life.

He was transported to Carolinas Medical Center Main where he later died.

Detectives combed the scene throughout the night searching for clues, but so far, Brown’s killer is still on the loose.

If you know anything about this case, call police.
