Robbery Suspect Fatally Shot, Left at McDonald’s by Accomplice

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department responded to a shots fired call at the 7900 block of Antlers Lane about 10:00 p.m. Friday night.

Police found shell castings and a large amount of blood at the scene but did not see a victim.

Before CMPD arrived, an unidentified person stepped in during the course of a robbery and shots were fired according to police.

A person with the injured robbery suspect drove him to a nearby McDonald’s and left the suspect in the vehicle.

A family member was contacted, met with the suspect, and he was transported to the hospital.

Police said the suspect was pronounced dead and are not releasing the name at this time.

The person who interceded during the robbery left the scene and the identity is unknown.
