2 shot, Including 14-Year-Old, in East Charlotte

From The Charlotte Observer By Steve Lyttle, January 9, 2012

Two young men, including a 14-year-old, were shot and wounded Tuesday night outside a home in northeast Charlotte.

The shooting was reported about 10 p.m. on Larchmont Avenue. That is about a quarter-mile west of Milton Road and behind Plaza United Methodist Church.

Witnesses told police that the victims were standing outside the house when a man walked up and started firing. The victims suffered abdominal wounds and were taken by Medic to Carolinas Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police detectives worked through the night, talking to neighbors and trying to determine a motive and find a suspect.

As of now, there is no description of a possible suspect, and no arrests have been announced.
