CMPD Seeks Missing Man in Southeast Charlotte

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police say they are looking for a 78-year-old man who has not been seen since leaving his house off Sharon Amity Road on Monday afternoon.

The man is identified as Robert Bowden, who family members say is suffering from dementia.

Bowden’s daughter told police that her father left the family home, in the 500 block of Lyttleton Drive, sometime between 2:30 and 3:45 p.m. He was driving a dark blue GMC Sierra truck with N.C. license tags STR-8536. Lyttleton Drive is between Monroe and Randolph roads.

Bowden is described as a black male, about 5 feet 10 and 175 pounds. He is bald. Family members say he was last seen wearing dark-colored dress pants, a light-blue long-sleeve shirt, and dark dress shoes.
