CMPD Investigating Attempted robbery at Presbyterian Hospital

By Staff, November 23, 2012

Two men tried to rob another man at the Presbyterian Hospital near uptown Wednesday afternoon.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said two men grabbed a man as he left a bathroom at the hospital and demanded money from the victim.

The man was not carrying any money on him and was able to get away and alert police. The two suspects were able to get away before police arrived.

Hospital officials said they’ve increased security officers and are asking staff to be vigilant. They do not think the stabbing that happened over the summer and the attempted robbery are related.
